Our New Additions

A while ago our family of animals grew with two additions.

A lamb (Shanks) and a kitten (Spice)

We got Shanks at a local fair, and had to bottle feed him for about three weeks, but now he is old enough to eat proper foods like grass and oats.

We found Spice at my dads work. That’s where she had been living for the majority of her life. Dad caught her and took her to the vet to be checked out, then taken to our house and that’s where she has been since. It was my idea to call her Spice because of her mixed colouring: ginger, white and tabby.

But what we didn’t know was that there would be four more (temporary) additions that came only a few nights ago. Four kittens. It turns out while Spice was living on the street she got pregnant. So when she has been living at our house, her stomach kept growing and growing, so we presumed that had to be the case. But the truth was found the other night when she quietly went off and had four kittens: one ginger/white, two black and one black/white.

I also thought I’d just throw in a picture of Allies first birthday, with a tuna cake I made for her. (She loved it :-))

Have you ever adopted an animal off the street?

Have any of your animals had babies?

How do you celebrate your animals birthday?

Homemade Hunger Games Poster

My favourite book is The Hunger Games so I decided to make my own poster of all my favourite characters.

Here’s how:

I’ve used a big piece of plain black paper, then airbrushed some flames in the background.

I printed off some pictures in photo paper and stuck them on.

Embossed the Mockinjay pin and the hunger games heading also I embossed two of my favourite quotes and put them down the bottom.

I cant wait to go see Catching Fire when it comes out, I would love to go see the midnight premier!🙂

Do you like the Hunger Games?

What’s your favourite book?

My New Craft Room

For the last couple of weeks I have been working on redecorating my craft room. Since we have moved to our new house I have my bedroom and my craft room to myself so I decided to redecorate it my way. So far I have moved and covered all the furniture (that’s why it’s a huge mess), painted the back wall and part of the side wall a green colour. My plans are to repaint all the walls the same colour and add a brown damask pattern on the back wall. Also build and reorganise the furniture.  I have also painted an old table the same colour as the back wall but painted the top with chalk board paint.

Stay tuned if you would like to find out the end result and I will soon be putting some of my craft projects on here so if you would be interested in that please stay tuned and leave lots of comment🙂

Hey everyone,

Sorry I haven’t been on for ages. I’ve been so busy with school work and projects.

I hope everyone is well and happy.

I would like to know if anyone has any ideas for a new post, such as if they would like to know anything about high school or what I’ve been up to.

So please if you have a suggestion or questions, comment below.

Molly and Allie!

I just thought I would tell you somethings my animals do:

We have had Allie for 6 weeks and 5 days now.
Allie is  4 months and 2 days old.
She is very entertaining, funny and energetic!
We just got her a tunnel with little toys hanging down inside and she plays with it non stop.
This is the 4th year we have had Molly
Today is her birthday so she is exactly 4 years old!
Molly is very good at listening to commands and she always is keeping us entertained.
Molly and Allie:
At first they weren’t sure about each other but now they are absolutely in love with each other.
All day, every day the play together and sometimes they just lay there!
I took this picture a week ago and it was such a lucky shot because they didn’t stay like that for very long.
Allie is learning to come when called and she just figured out how to climb the wire door!
Molly knows how to sit, hit the dirt, lay down, stay, beg, roll over, catch, shake, answers to her name and is learning much more.
Also I am entering Molly into an animal competition on Saturday.
The animal competition has past and Molly won “The Smartest Animal” award.

My New Kitten!

On the 3.1.2013 I adopted a 12 week old kitten from an animal shelter.

Her name is Allie and is tabby coloured.

She loves playing and having fun but doesn’t like Molly so we are gradually introducing them to one another.

Her birthday is on the 12th of october which is nearly the same as mine.

I have never had a kitten or cat before so it is a new experience!

And lucky for me she is already kitty litter trained!

If you have any questions please leave a comment and I would love to hear your story’s about your cats/kittens.
